Thank you for visiting the Governors section of the school website.

As Governors, we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to contribute to the life of the school, but we would be the first to admit that our contribution must be set against that of others. The school has a most capable team of teachers and support staff ably led by our Head, together with a school community of pupils and students highly motivated to learn. We also benefit from the contribution of many other individuals and organisations who support the school, including parents, former pupils and teachers, the local community, Slough Council, and many other private and public bodies.

The latest OFSTED Inspection evaluated governors' leadership and management and their report states "the governors have a very good grasp of the school's strengths and weaknesses and provide a very effective balance of support and challenge." We were pleased to hear this yet at the same time fully aware of the obligation to maintain this standard.

Our aim in these pages is to explain who we are, our role and purpose as a governing body, and the scope of our work. We also welcome the chance to highlight some of the school's recent achievements and its contribution outside the school to the wider community.
